Ware, 98, died peacefully with family and Hospice close by on August 22, 2007, at Westchester Care Center in Tempe, AZ. Before living the last few years of her life in the care center, Viola was a long time resident of Superior, AZ and saw many changes in the mining community. She was born on August 7, 1909 in Fort Worth, TX to John T. & Georgia Glassgow. The family moved to Oklahoma City, OK and then after the death of her mother moved to Arizona around 1917. In time, the family moved to Superior, AZ and Viola graduated from high school in 1928. She met and married Warren (Pinto) Ware in Superior, raised 2 daughters, Frances & Warrene and continued living in Superior for many years after her husband's death in 1963. Besides being a creative seamstress & devoted homemaker, she worked as an employee of Bellamak's Clothing Store and employee and bookeeper at Murray's Drug Store in Superior. Viola was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Superior, a long time member of Pythian Sisters Laurel Temple #25 and the Rebecca Lodge. She was an animal lover & owned many cats & dogs. She supported the Friends for Life and Humane Society. Viola loved spending birthdays with family during the summer in Pinetop, AZ. Shopping was always first on her list. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Warren E. Ware; two brothers, Albert and Clyde Glassgow & grand daughter, Robin Ensign. Survivors include daughters Frances W. Fry and Warrene Ware; grand daughters, Cindy Ensign, Frances Lea Fry, Marianne Buchik and Patricia Traaen; great grandsons, Nathan & Kevin Buchik; great grand daughter, Megan Ensign. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to: Presbyterian Church of Superior, 100 N. Magma Ave, P.O. Box 772, Superior, AZ 85273 or Friends for Life, 143 W. Vaughn Ave, Gilbert, AZ 85233. Memorial Service will be held at Presbyterian Church of Superior, 100 N. Magma Ave on Sat. Oct. 13th, 11:00am. We are thankful for the life of Viola and believe she now has a life much more wonderful.
