She moved to southern California and graduated from high school in Linda Vista, California. She was crowned "Fairest of the Fair" in 1950 and used the prize money to enroll in nursing school. While practicing nursing she met and married Ralph Worthylake; together they had five children. She and her family moved to Medford in 1964. After her youngest child entered school, Patsy went back to nursing, working first at Planned Parenthood, then as a pediatric clinic nurse at the Medford Clinic. She traveled extensively, visiting Tahiti, Thailand, Russia, Europe and the Caribbean. She was an avid reader and a great cook, but most of all she was an exceptional wife, mother and grandmother. She died at her home in Central Point Saturday, September 2, 2006, surrounded by her husband, her five children and their spouses, and her eight grandchildren. Her grace and courage held strong to the last. No service is planned. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Oklahoma County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/oklahoma/oklahoma.html
