Harold was born on July 16, 1919 at Rosedale, OK to Dennis and Velma Yoakum. After graduation from school, Harold met the love of his life, Ludia Morris and they were married for 64 years. They have a daughter, Gayle and a son, Harvey. He was an employee at Wilson Co. and had many supervisory positions for 38 years before retiring. After retirement he joined his son Harvey in business in Longmont, CO 'Yoakum Tire and Oil'. Following this he returned to OKC where he had lived for many years and until his death. He was involved in the Masons in the Westwood Chapter of OKC. He was a 32 Degree Mason. He was a Christian and a member of the Baptist church most of his adult life. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Dennis & Velma Yoakum. He is survived by: his wife, Ludia of the home; daughter, Gayle Dyer and husband Ermon; son, Harvey and wife Carol of Longmont, CO; grandchildren: Lisa Dahlem and husband Duane, Beth (Burns) Daniels and husband Rob, Jimmy Yoakum and wife Sarah, Kim Grimes and husband Chad, Alan Oswald and wife Tami, Charlie Oswald, Rebecca Oswald, Carla Choate; great grandchildren: Josh Dahlem, Dalton Burns, Ried Grimes, Zachary and Paul Choate, Joel and Lauryn Melicks; brother, D.J. Yoakum and wife Hazel; sister Geneva Blackwell and husband Troy; sister, Dennisteen Van-Wagner-Murray; and a host of other family members and friends. He will be fondly remembered by family and friends for his remarkable memory of past events and family history, along with his most interesting and entertaining stories. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to American Heart Assoc. or Shriners Childrens Hospital. Services will be 2:00 PM Sat.
