All rights reserved. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Zelinger, Fred Fred Zelinger was born in Oklahoma City on October 28, 1935, and suddenly passed away on August 20, 2002, in OKC at age 66. He was of Polish and Czech decent. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred F. Zelinger Sr. He was a loving husband to his wife Sharon for 42 years and a devoted father to Susan Brantley of Florida and Steve Zelinger of Arizona. He was also a caring grandfather to Nick and Jessica Wilkes and Victor Emmanuel and Juan Isaias Pina-Zelinger. Survivors also include his mother, Mary and his sister, Margaret Dodson. After graduating from Central High School in 1953, Fred joined the U.S. Air Force for a period of 8 years. After he was honorably discharged, he served as vice president of General Electronics, Inc. Subsequent employment was at Boeing Aircraft and Sikorsky for a number of years as an electronic engineer. Beginning at age 12, he was an avid amateur radio operator with call letters; W5PBO. He was a member of Quarter Century Club (QCWA). He will be remembered as one who could fix all things needing attention. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM Friday, August 23, 2002, at Demuth Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to the American Heart Association in commemoration of those who loved and respected him. DEMUTH FUNERAL HOME 1145 W.
