Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Lyndon Latham of Anna Street Church of Christ officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum. Mrs. Zimmerman was born in Gem City to Ed and Beatrice Park Reed. She was a graduate of Canadian High School. She moved to Amarillo in 1962. She was a representative for Avon for more than 40 years. She was preceded in death by her husband L.M. "Lightning" Zimmerman on Jan. 1, 1990. Survivors include three daughters, Marilyn Palmer and husband, Ronnie, Jo Ann Rackley and husband, John, and Penny Wilson, all of Amarillo; a brother, Jamie Reed of Irving; a sister, Kay Laney of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five grandchildren, Shane Palmer, Jerramy Palmer, Stacy Davis and husband, Stuart, Shari Chaney and Stacy Chapin; seven great-grandchildren, Morgan Palmer, Jordan Palmer, Kris Brown, April Aultman, Justin Brown, Ashley Bryant and Miles Allen Davis. The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice. The family will have visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 31, 2002
