Yesterday, Anna Turner filed a petition in the district court, praying for a divorce from Arthur Turner, also seeking the custody of their child. (01/12/1906) Divorce Cases Filed. Guthrie, Okla., Jan.11—In the district court today a suit was filed by Attorney Harve Olds, representing Mrs. Cora Pinkerton, a nineteen year old school girl here, asking a divorce from her husband, Ralph Pinkerton, a Blaine county ranchman, living near Watonga. She alleges all manner of cruel treatment, ending with her statement that he kicked her out of bed, and that she was compelled to return home. They were married on September 20, 1904, at Independence, Missouri. A suit for divorce was also filed today by Attorney Gustav A. Erixon asking a legal separation from his wife, Esther Erixon, to whom he was married on June 8, 1899, in Wilmar, Minnesota. He alleges cruel treatment, jealousy, and that she threatened to kill him, refusing him admission to their home. He asks the custody of two children and an injunction to prevent her selling their $1,025 worth of household furniture. (01/17/1906) District Court. No. 5596, M.G. Jones vs. Joseph A. In the district court yesterday Mrs. Addie Fulbright filed a suit praying divorce from her husband, Wm. Fulbright alleging that at Arapahoe, Okla. on Dec. 19, 1904, defendant deserted her and is guilty of non-support. They were married at Pauls Valley, I.T., on May 5, 1896. (02/03/1906) Two Divorce Suits Filed. Guthrie, Okla., Feb.2—In the district court here today Clara J. Tuten began a suit for a divorce from her husband, Benjamin F. Tuten, to whom she was married in Idaho Territory in 1882. She charges him with such profanity and continued threats that she was forced to leave him and return here to the home of her parents. She asks the custody of her two children and temporary and permanent alimony, claiming Tuton has a $4000 claim and other property in Oklahoma county. (02/03/1906) Mrs. Evie M. Johnson also wants a divorce from her husband, James H. Johnson, whom she married in 1893. She also asks the custody of her two children, temporary and permanent alimony. He is a farmer, living in Orlando township, and she charges him with refusing to provide medical attention for her twice, when in order to get such attention it was necessary for her parents to take her home. She says he owns property valued at about $10,000. (02/04/1906) Wife Charges Cruelty. Guthrie, Okla., Feb. 3—In the district court here Mrs. Catherine R. Jarvis has commenced an action for a divorce from her husband, John W. Jarvis, to whom she was married on April 8, 1889, in Coles county, Ill., and with whom she lived until January 29, last. She alleges in her petition that for twenty years he has been suspicious and jealous of her, making false and cruel accusations and during that period has thus been extremely cruel, until she has become permanently ill as a result. (02/09/1906) Mrs. Adams Wins Suit. An echo of the Adams divorce case was heard in the probate court yesterday in a suit for possession of the personal property. J.C. Adams, the defendant, was represented by Attorney Sullivan, and Mrs. Mary Adams by Attorney Thorpe. Judge Harper's decision was in favor of Mrs. Adams, excepting certain cooking utensils, which were awarded to the defendant. (02/09/1906) Cora M. Thurman has filed a suit in the district court, praying a decree of divorce from Frank Thurman, alleging extreme cruelty and gross neglect. They were married July 29, 1900, at Clarksville, Tex. (02/10/1906) Christopher Columbus Gillespie was yesterday made the defendant in a divorce suit filed in the district court. They are colored residents. (02/10/1906) Tied Up Husband's Bank Account. Guthrie, Okla., Feb. 9—Judge Burford today issued an order on the Guthrie National bank for it to pay into court $100 for the support of Mrs. Josie Griffin, $25 attorney fees and a sufficient amount to cover costs, the same to be taken from the bank account of her husband, Morgan Griffin, a minor, to whom she was married in December, 1903, at Chandler. She began a suit yesterday for a divorce from him and petitioned the court to tie up his bank account, about $3,000, pending the settlement of the suit. The court in its order allows the bank to check out to Griffin not to exceed $500 until the case is ended. She charges her husband with attacking her with a knife, threatening to kill her, knocking her down, and with general mistreatment. He will become of age next month. (02/13/1906) Judge Burwell yesterday granted a decree of divorce to the plaintiff in the case of Angie Brooks vs. Wallace Brooks, on the grounds of cruelty and gross neglect. (02/14/1906) Roberts Divorce Case. Cora Roberts vs. T.O. Roberts is the title of a divorce suit filed yesterday in the district court. They were married September 24, 1906, and Mrs. Roberts alleges that on February 7, her husband notified her that he would no longer support her; consequently she asks divorce and alimony in the sum of $10 per month, asserting that Roberts receives a salary of $70 a month. Jno. H. Wright is attorney for the plaintiff. (02/15/1906) WIFE OF R.D. HALL SUES FOR DIVORCE DECLARES THAT DEFENDANT ABANDONED HER A YEAR AGO. Mrs. Nettie L. Hall yesterday filed suit praying divorce from her husband, R.D. Hall. They were married in Crawford county, Kansas, January 10, 1889. Mrs. Hall alleges that her husband abandoned her one year ago. Plaintiff also pray custody of her son, Henry Hall. R.D. Hall, defendant in the this suit, has figured prominently as a real estate dealer and populist politician in Oklahoma for several years. He disappeared from Oklahoma City about a year ago, leaving several creditors to mourn his departure. Mrs. Hall was Miss Nettie Elerick before marriage. (02/15/1906) Oklahoma County Divorce Settled Guthrie, Okla., Feb. 14—Mrs. Clara J. Tuton will remain the valentine of Benjamin F. Tuton, of Oklahoma county, judging by a settlement which was made in the district court here today. Tuton paid all the costs and his wife withdrew her suit for divorce. He is a farmer living near Edmond. She began the suit two weeks ago. (02/17/1906) Second Suit for Divorce. The divorce application of James Lawrence vs. Florence Lawrence, recently dismissed, was refilled in the district court yesterday. Plaintiff alleges his wife said: "Jim, I would not be caught out in company with you." (02/20/1906) QUICK MARRIAGE EARLY REGRETS WIFE OF ALDERMAN HOUGHTON SUES FOR DIVORCE, BUT IS DENIED A DECREE About ten days ago one Myrtle Ford became the bride of Alderman Elmer Houghton of the Fourth ward. The couple have not lived together since and yesterday Mrs. Houghton applied for a divorce on the ground of non-support. The court denied a decree, announcing that the time had been too short to determine as to whether the defendant would support the plaintiff. The attorney for Mrs. Houghton expected that the case of Jones (McClure) vs. Jones, divorce granted within a week after the marriage and on similar grounds, would serve as a precedent. Ald. Houghton last night stated to an Oklahoman representative that he would not oppose the divorce proceedings, and said he had not lived with his wife a day since their marriage. (02/23/1906) All Cases Resubmitted. Guthrie, Okla., Feb. 22—A new divorce suit will be filed in the court here today, of Mabel Hetzel vs. Geo. S. Hetzel. They were married in Howard City, Kansas, in 1884, and have a daughter 20 years of age. The plaintiff alleges non-support. In the case, where Gustave Erickson, a local attorney, asked a divorce from his wife, alleging abandonment, was not placed on the bar ticket for the present term of court, and an investigation shows that Erickson dismissed the case within a short time after filing it. (02/27/1906) Suit on a Judgment. Nellie L. Walker vs. Clyde H. Walker is the title of a case filed in the district court yesterday in which the plaintiff asks that a judgment made by the circuit court of Galloway county, Missouri, August 11, 1904, awarding $10 per month to her for support and maintenance of a minor child, Clyde Walker, Jr., be enforced and the arrearage of $110 paid by defendant. It is alleged the boy has been suffering from tuberculosis for some time, creating additional expense and plaintiff prays that the judgment be increased to $100 per month, with costs and reasonable attorney fee. Jno. H. Wright is attorney for the plaintiff. (02/27/1906) Alleges Non-Support. Hattie R. Christopher vs. Geo. C. Carpenter is the title of a divorce-suit filed in the district court yesterday. They were married Jan. 26, 1905, at Green River, Wyo. Non-support is alleged. (03/03/1906) Were Wed in Little Rock. Guthrie, Okla., March 2.—In the district court here Melbina Hill has commenced a suit for divorce from her husband, Edward W. Hill, whom she married in Little Rock, Arkansas, in March 1880. She charges him with infidelity and names Mrs. Harper as correspondent. (03/06/1906) Ethel Hogue, fined in police court yesterday for lewd conduct, is the wife of T.C. Hogue, and recently applied for a divorce. Hogue is 68 years old and his wife is quite young. (03/06/1906) John Powell vs. Ella Powell is the title of a divorce suit filed in the district court yesterday. (03/07/1906) Alleges Abandonment. Jessie May McLellan vs. James A. McLellan is the title of a divorce suit filed in the district court yesterday. They were married May 14, 1892. Mrs. McLellan alleges that her husband abandoned her two years ago. (03/07/1906) A Suit for Divorce. W.M. Bottoms vs. Ida Bottoms is the title of a divorce suit filed yesterday. The plaintiff alleges abandonment. They were married at Winfield, Kan., in July 1892. (03/08/1906) A.C. Patterson has filed a suit praying divorce from Anna Patterson, his wife, alleging desertion. (03/10/1906) Mrs. Ethel Hogue, upon complaint of her husband, T.C. Hogue, was arrested Wednesday night on the charge of adultery. She had recently filed a suit for divorce and alimony. (03/16/1906) Benjamin Moberly has filed a suit in the district court praying divorce from his wife, Myrtle Moberly. (04/03/1906) BLAINE COUNTY COURT Watonga.—When court convened there were one hundred and seventy cases on the docket, and there were forty-two indictments found during the term. Of these indictments, thirteen were quashed or dismissed. (04/04/1906) Dr. J. Miller was yesterday granted a divorce from his wife, Mrs. Kate Miller. M.F. Highley was attorney for the plaintiff. (04/04/1906) Indian Charges Wife-Desertion. Guthrie, Okla., April 3—Oscar Brave Bear, an Arapaho Indian, has commenced divorce proceedings in the Custer county district court charging his squaw with deserting him within two weeks after they were recently married. (04/05/1906) In District Court. The divorce case of Maude A. Deschamps vs. Charles J. Deschamps was dismissed for want of prosecution. (04/06/1906) District Court. In the divorce suit of Hattie Christopher vs. George C. Christopher, decree was granted and costs assessed to defendant. (04/06/1906) Four Times a Divorce Applicant. Guthrie, Okla., April 5—Mrs. Mary E. Reynolds, aged 60, for the fourth time in her life is an applicant in court for a divorce. She brought suit yesterday at Perry, asking legal separation from John Reynolds, her fourth husband. He is a Black Bear township farmer of prominence to whom she was married in Guthrie last November. She charges cruelty. Judge Hainer today issued an order restraining Reynolds from disposing of any property pending the divorce suit. (04/12/1906) The grand jury declined to find a true bill against Colfax Moulton, who was arrested recently on the charge of violating the postal laws, it being charged that he had opened some letters address to his wife. The Moulton's had been have domestic troubles and a suit for divorce has been filed on one or two occasions. (04/14/1906) Mrs. Page is Sued. Attorneys Benty and Jobson yesterday filed in the district court a suit against Mrs. Minnie Page, to collect a dept for alleged professional services. They were Mrs. Page's attorneys in her divorce troubles about a year ago. (04/14/1906) In the district court yesterday Julia Tyler filed an application for divorce from her husband, Lucien Tyler. (04/15/1906) In the district court Emma Delantre was granted a decree of divorce. (04/17/1906) The Winslow divorce case is on in the district court. This is the famous corn trimming case. (04/17/1906) The District Court. William H. Fox was granted a divorce from Mildred Fox. He was given the custody of the minor child and costs were taxed to him. The divorce case of Maggie J. Oliver vs. Louis Oliver was dismissed. (04/18/1906) Mrs. Winslow Gets Divorce. In the district court yesterday Mrs. L'Amie Winslow was granted a divorce from Chas. A. Winslow, after a hearing in which considerable testimony of a racy nature was introduced. Divorce was prayed for on the grounds of failure to provide and cruel and inhuman treatment. The decree was granted on the ground of failure to provide. The court decreed that the costs be taxed against the defendant, the property rights to be determined by future investigation. Crockett & Johnson were attorneys for Mrs. Winslow, who secures the name of Lake, under which she married Winslow. The latter was represented by attorneys Snyder and Clark. (04/21/1906) Mother Kidnaps Child. Guthrie, Okla., April 20—Mrs. Anna J. Flood, of Kansas City, Mo., created consternation today at Braman, a small town in Kay county, by kidnapping her 3-year-old daughter, while the child was en route to school. The father, George Flood, and the woman are divorced, the father being awarded the custody of the child. The mother had hired a livery team and after kidnapping the girl, the team was started on a dead run for the Kansas state line. Officers immediately pursued, overtook the woman just before she crossed into Kansas, and rescued the child. (05/05/1906) Two Divorce Suits Filed. Shawnee, Okla., May 4.—Two suits for divorce have been filed this week in district court. Llyod Lance says his wife left him in 1905 and won't come back and he wants a legal separation. Mattie M. Huggins avers that her husband, B.F. Huggins, is cruel, neglects her and fails to provide for his family, though he is well to do. She wants a divorce, custody of their two children, possession of the home in Shawnee and other alimony. Huggins is reputed to be worth considerable in money and real estate. (05/09/1906) Child's Death Causes Divorce Suit. Guthrie, Okla., May 8—Because a Logan county jury acquitted Joe Carter, indicted for a criminal assault on the fifteen year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Scott, Mrs. Scott has left her husband's home refusing longer to live in Logan county, and he has commenced an action for a divorce, charging her with desertion. They were married in 1884 and lived together until February 1 last. The daughter died after the alleged assault by Carter, the hired man, and her death so greatly grieved the mother, that she refused to be reconciled. (05/16/1906) NOVEL PLEA MADE IN DIVORCE PAPERS CLAIMS HUSBAND WOULDN'T WORK AFTER SHE TAUGHT HIM TO PLOW. Guthrie, Okla., May 15.—During the past week Chief Justice John H. Burford, presiding in the Chandler court, granted a divorce to Mrs. Harriett Metley, who claimed to have $200,000 when she was married to Metley several years ago. She alleged in her petition and also on the witness stand that Metley refused to support her and finally left her. That he refused to work on the farm, and in fact, did not known how to work until she taught him to plow, and that he tried to plant the corn even before the ground turned. Following her instructions, she says he did finally become a good cotton chopper, but that he didn't work long at it, claiming to be a preacher. She made that statement on the witness stand that she was in doubt about his ability to earn more than fifty cents a day. She was also granted the custody of their one child. (05/25/1906) Former St. Louis Citizen Sued on Alimony by Divorced Wife. Guthrie, Okla., May 24—Mrs. Katherine Ziska has appealed from the Canadian county district court to the supreme court of the territory, in her suit asking that a deed be cancelled by which her former husband, Frank R. Ziska transferred to his brother, Fred. M. Ziska, a homestead near El Reno. The Ziskas formerly lived in St. Louis, and at Crete, Nebraska, and Frank Ziska sold St. Louis property with which to purchase his Oklahoma land. Ziska was married to his wife in Saline county, Nebraska, in April 1880, and they lived together until November 1903, being divorced in Lancaster county, Nebraska. She was awarded alimony amounting to $1,700. During their residence in Nebraska, Mrs. Ziska was confined in the asylum at Lincoln for some time, but was released on parole. She claimed, in getting a divorce, that Ziska had abandoned and mistreated her. After coming to Oklahoma she owned a millinery story at Yukon for some time. At the time the divorce was granted, Ziska had no property in Nebraska and the case was transferred to the Canadian county, Oklahoma, where he owned the land. She obtained another judgment against him for $1,834 and costs, including the accrued interest on the former judgment. In the meantime, she now alleges, he transferred his land to his brother and she seeks to have the deed set aside in order that her alimony judgment may be secured by the land. (05/27/1906) Melinda Henson was yesterday granted a divorce from Joseph Henson, also to Clyde Molesworth from Lenore Molesworth. In the district court yesterday Mrs. Fannie Harcum was granted a decree of divorce from W.A. Harcum and awarded custody of their children. (06/01/1906) In the district court yesterday was filed the divorce petition of Mrs. Jennie Barrett vs. Sidney Barrett. (06/05/1906) WAS DIVORCE DAY IN DISTRICT COURT SIX PERSONS FREED OF FETTERS.—Ray PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO RAPE CHARGE. The spring term of the district court for Oklahoma county closed with the session yesterday. The principle matters coming before Judge Burwell yesterday were divorce cases and three decrees were granted. Mrs. Anna Evans was granted a divorce from L.C. Evans, at her own cost. Mary C. Wuersler was granted a divorce from Frank F. Wuerster, custody of minor children and possession of household goods, plaintiff paying costs. Anna E. Hodges was granted a divorce from J.P. Hodges and restoration of maiden name, paying all costs. An effort is being made to secure a referee to hear the divorce case of Mrs. Eva Holt vs. Frank R. Holt. (06/06/1906) Quick Divorce Record. Guthrie, Okla., June 5—Isaac C. Scott, principal of the Negro school here, broke the quick divorce record in the district court yesterday. His petition for divorce was filed at 11 o'clock, in the morning, accompanied by a waiver of time to plead, and an entry of appearance, and before noon the divorce was granted. Mrs. Scott is now living in Texas. (06/10/1906) District Court Filings. Luella Ruhl vs. Noah B. Ruhl and Sam McKinney; divorce and to quit title. (06/12/1906) MRS. FRANK HRABE SUES FOR DIVORCE WIFE OF PROMINENT BOHEMIAN FARMER ALLEGES EXTREME CRUELTY. In the district court yesterday was filed the divorce suit of Mrs. Anna Hrabe vs. Frank Hrabe, a farmer residing a few miles southwest of this city. A little over a year ago Hrabe divorced his former wife to marry Anna Senik, the one who now prays divorcement. She alleges extreme and repeated cruelty, reciting that her husband frequently cursed and abused her in public and in private, and that by threats and violence he drove her from home. She recites that her husband owns improvements on a quarter of school land valued at $3,000. Mrs. Hrabe also alleges that at the time of marriage she gave her husband $350 to pay his private debts and has received no part of the amount in return. Plaintiff asks divorce, restoration of her maiden name, an equitable share of the property, $50 per month alimony and $100 attorney fee. An order was granted yesterday by Judge Harper restraining defendant from alienating any part of the property. W.C. Reeves is attorney for the petitioner. (06/14/1906) Dismissed Suit. Mrs. Anna Hrabe yesterday dismissed the divorce suit which on Monday she filed in the district court against her husband, Frank Hrabe, a prominent Bohemian farmer. (06/20/1906) Divorced Wife Snatches Son. Guthrie, Okla., June 19—During a trial in Probate Judge Meese's court at Beaver City, this week, while Oscar Smith was on the witness stand, his divorced wife grabbed their son, who has been living with Smith, and started to leave the court room. Smith quickly left the stand, to rescue the boy. He caught the boy by the shoulders and the wife had him by the feet, a tug of war ensuing, it was necessary for the deputy sheriff to separate the combatants. The boy was restored to Smith. (06/28/1906) In the district court yesterday Judge Burwell annulled the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Houghton. (07/07/1906) Holt Divorce Case. The final hearing in the Holt divorce case will likely occur in the district court this afternoon. Certain depositions from parties in Montana are expected to reach here this meeting. Church, has instituted divorce proceedings against Mrs. Swann, in the Tulsa district court, charging infidelity, abandonment and other reasons. The petition alleges Mrs. Swann became addicted to the use of beer and flirted with other men. Mrs. Swann lives in Tulsa. (07/25/1906) District Court. In Justice Zwick's court yesterday afternoon was called the case of John Robinson charged with administering arsenic to his wife, Tusca Robinson, about two weeks ago, it being alleged that Robinson gave two powders to another colored woman and asked her to give them to his wife in some beer and that she took the powders and turned them over to Jim Hardeman, Robinson's cousin, who carried them until the following day and then swore out a complaint. McNight against Bert A. McNight, charging gross neglect was filed in the district court yesterday. The plaintiff charges that since June 5, 1905 she has been dependent upon the charity of her parents to support herself and her infant child, born since the separation from her husband. She asks for a divorce and any other relief that the court may see fit to grant. McNight is a non-resident of the territory and lives at Gassaway, Cannon county, Tennessee. M.A. Henderson has filed an application in the district court for divorce from his wife, Estella Henderson, alleging adultery and naming one Hal G. Carroll as co-respondent. He recites that he owns property valued at $1,400 in the "White House," a rooming place on North Broadway," a rooming place on North Broadway, and asks that his wife be enjoined from disposing of same. Raymond Holt, ten-year-old child of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Holt, recently divorced, will be sent to Belmont school a preparatory institution for Stanford University, in California. This arrangement, the application of Mr. Holt to send the child to Michigan in care of his housekeeper, Mrs. Jennie Keader, was bitterly and successfully opposed by Mrs. Holt. The court ordered that the care and company of the child be entrusted to Mrs. Holt until he departs for school, which will be in about ten days. (08/25/1906) FOUR DIVORCE SUITS ABE GOLDSTEIN ALLEGES HIS WIFE HAS ANOTHER UNDIVORCED HUSBAND. Abe Goldstein yesterday filed suit in the district court praying divorce from Becky Goldstein. They were married at Los Angeles, Cal., November 4, 1904. The petition alleges that at the time of this marriage the defendant had a husband, Collish Blumenthal, from whom she had never been divorced and that he never learned of this fact until recently. Mary I. Street has filed a suit praying for divorce from I.P. Street. They were married at LaClede, Mo., November 1, 1880. Extreme cruelty and nonsupport are alleged. David M. Quinlan asks divorce from Clara Quinlan. They were married December 7, 1884, at Dawson, Neb. Gross neglect of duty and incompatibility are alleged. Mrs. Donie Rice wants legal divorce from her husband, Daniel E. Rice. They were married at Hobart, Okla., September 15, 1901. Divorce proceedings in the case of Milton Tudor vs. Emma Tudor were unexpectedly postponed Friday at Arcadia, by the defendant falling off a fifteen-foot portico to the pavement beneath. Mrs. Tudor was leaning against the portico railing talking to her attorney, J.L. Brown of this city, when the boards gave way and she fell to the earth. She was badly bruised and shocked and had to be put to bed. No bones were broken. In the district court yesterday the law firm of Hays, Thorpe and Thorpe, filed a petition in which Mrs. Frances Turley seeks divorce from George W. Turley, alleging incompatibility and mistreatment. The petitioner also prays for general and special alimony, and asks possession of the fine Turley mansion on the corner of Eleventh and Walker streets. Mrs. Turley also asks the custody of the two minor children, one daughter aged one year and the other three years. The defendant is a pioneer resident of Oklahoma City, has become wealthy in the lumber business and owns some valuable rental properties on Broadway, that are alleged to bring an income of $400 per month. His wife, in her petition for divorce prays for an equitable division of the property. In the petition Mrs. Turley sets forth that she is Mr. Turley's second wife, and alleges that she has not been treated as a wife should be treated by a husband; that she has not been clothed as befits her station and her husband's financial ability; and that she has not been permitted to enjoy the social advantages to which she is entitled. (09/26/1906) MAN WITH A RAGE MAY LOSE A WIFE WIFE OF MAN WHO MAKES ICES SAYS HE HAS A HOT TEMPER. Because Nick Kolschonis, an ice cream manufacturer of this city, is troubled with a violent temper and is in the habit of flying into a rage, cursing his wife, Mrs. Etta Kolschonis, and destroying and demolishing dishes, furniture or whatever may be within his reach, she has instituted divorce proceedings in the district court, asking for an absolute decree, the care and custody of their two-year-old child, Marguerite, the ownership of lot 10 in Park sub-division to Oak Park addition to the city, $10 a week for the support of herself and child and that the defendant be restrained and enjoined from visiting her at her home. The particular grievance cited in the petition is alleged to have occurred the night of September 22. According to the petition the defendant has threatened to kill her numerous times and that between September 17 and 23, he again threatened to kill her. While in a state of beastly intoxication, Kolschonis "flew into a rage, destroyed all their dishes and other tableware, threw food on the table upon the floor, destroyed several pieces of furniture and again threatened to kill his wife." Since then Mrs. Kolschonis has been at the home of her parents. (09/27/1906) Using profane and indecent language and threatening to take her life, is given as the cause for the filing of a petition by Edith E. Morrison, asking for a divorce from her husband, Noah A. Morrison, to whom she was married in Pocahontas county, Iowa, November 4, 1885. During the month of September, the plaintiff alleges, the defendant has repeatedly threatened to kill her; he is cross and is afflicted with a bad temper and uses indecent language in her presence. She also seeks the custody of two children of the family, Gladys, aged 12, and Wayne, aged 3, and asks that a restraining order be issued, enjoining the defendant from disposing of one-half-of the proceeds of the sale of a quantity of onions to the T.D. Ladd, divorce decree issued to plaintiff. (10/28/1906) THREATENED TO KILL HIM. In district court yesterday, Roscoe S. Hillman filed suit for divorce from Fannie B. Hillman to whom he was wedded in Pulaski, N.Y., July22, 1902, and who continued to reside with him until October 1, 1905. The petition alleges that the defendant is guilty of extreme cruelty to plaintiff, that she is possessed of a bad, ugly and uncontrollable temper and that without the least provocation, she called him vile and ugly names, and scolded him many times. On one occasion, the petitioner alleges, shortly before twelve o'clock one night, while they were in bed together, she began to scold the plaintiff without the least provocation, became violently enraged, threatened to kill him, and arose from the bed, went to the pantry and got a knife for the purpose of putting her threat into execution and that he was compelled to forcibly prevent her using the knife. He also alleges that she picked up various articles and shipped them to her mother, and also her household goods to her mother, with whom she is now residing. The petition alleges that the defendant has left the plaintiff for periods of six months at a time, that upon one occasion he said he was going to Shawnee to find work and that the next she heard of him he was in St. Louis and later she received a letter from him written at Chicago. In addition to asking for the custody of her two children, and the restoration of her maiden name of Evelyn Navarre, she asks for the appointment of a receiver to care for her property of eighty acres and also to dispose of this season's crops of the farm. (10/31/1906) Alleging that his wife is guilty of extreme cruelty and gross neglect of duty, Aaron McKay has filed suit for divorce from his wife, Pearl McKay, to whom he was wedded April 7, 1904, in this city. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant has stayed away from their home at night, often in company with other man, and that when he spoke to her about such alleged conduct, she replied: "I'll go in spite of h--." The petition recites that he is 63 years of age and that his wife is now under twenty years of age. (11/04/1906) CHILD FAINTS IN COURT AFTER CUSTODY ORDER Pawnee, Okla., Nov. 3—Quite a scene was enacted in the Pawnee court room when Judge Hainer decided the Norman vs. Norman divorce case by awarding the custody of the two children to Mrs. Norman's sister, Laura, the younger child, went into convulsions and it was over an hour before she was brought back to consciousness. (11/14/1906) Con Ehret was arraigned before Justice Zwick on a peace warrant sworn out by his wife, yesterday, and held under $500 bond to keep the peace and also preventing him from interfering or in any way molesting his divorced wife. It was reported to County Attorney Hays that the defendant has been in the habit of going to the home of Mrs. Ehret and there creating a disturbance, calling upon her to dismiss the boarders, ordering them from her home and otherwise making himself disagreeable about the house, much to the annoyance of Mrs. Ehret. The peace warrant was issued following the complaint made to County Attorney Hays. (11/15/1906) BLACKBURN DIVORCE SUIT. Shawnee, Okla., Nov. 14—W.A. Blackburn has filed suit for divorce in the district court against Ellen J. Blackburn, to whom he was married in Arkansas in 1889. They lived together until 1905, when, he says, she removed to another part of the house and refused to conduct herself as his wife. Kelsey and Jessie James were arraigned in police court last night on a charge of lewd conduct preferred by Kelsey's wife, who now has a suit for divorce pending in the district court. When the prosecuting witness was placed on the stand she admitted, after some questioning, that she had hired detectives to shadow her husband. Judge Hayson immediately dismissed the case, without seeking further testimony, declaring that the prosecuting witness was only seeking to have her husband found guilty in police court to secure a record that would aid her in her application for divorce. Ebersan, suit for divorce. Frank Burtis vs. J.L. Burtis, suit for divorce. Mrs. Maude E. Eberman filed suit in district court yesterday against her husband, W.S. Eberman, to whom she was wedded March 16, 1882, in Moorehead, Minn. The couple separated September 27, 1904. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant neglected and failed to provide for her. Alleging cruelty, Frank Burtis has filed suit for a divorce from her husband, J.L. Burtis, to whom she was wedded July 16, 1903. The couple resided together for the brief period of three months, according to the plaintiff's petition. (11/27/1906) POTT COUNTY OFFICIALS ON CONTEMPT CHARGE Guthrie, Okla., Nov. 26—County Attorney Freeling, Sheriff Grace and other Pottawatomie county autorities who were cited recently for contempt of court in the Blaveney divorce case at Tecumseh, were called to Perry today to answer to the contempt charges before Judge B.T. Hainer, who issued the order against the officers several weeks ago, while sitting in the district court at Tecumseh. They are charged with contempt in allowing Mrs. B.B. Blakeney to secure possession of the child which Judge Burwell in hearing the divorce case, had awarded to the custody of other persons. (11/28/1906) DISTRICT COURT. Mrs. Mary Baxter has filed suit for a divorce from her husband, George E. Baxter to whom she was wedded September 26, 1902. The plaintiff alleges extreme cruelty on the part of the defendant, that he has repeatedly struck and beat her, that she is now suffering from injuries received at his hands and fears for her personal safety. Four weeks ago, according to her petition, she was forced to work while she was sick. The petition further alleges that the defendant has been in a state of intoxication for some time. She asks that he be restrained from interfering with her ______ a ______, of which she ____ three-fourths interest and that she be restored to her maiden name. Alleging that her husband, John Parker, has been guilty of extreme cruelty to her and that he has repeatedly used vile and opprobrious epithets towards her, Mrs. Launia Parker has filed suit for divorce in district court yesterday. The petition states that the defendant is owner of lots 23 and 24 in block 14, Military addition to this city, valued at $1,800 and asks that he be restrained from incumbering, alienating or removing any property now belonging to him until after the suit is heard. Carleton, divorce; continued until December 10. (12/07/1906, Friday) NEWS OF COURTS Suit for divorce was instituted yesterday by Mrs. Mary F. Darby against her husband, William Darby, to whom she was married April 25, 1886, and who she alleges is guilty of gross neglect of duty and failure to support herself and children. She asks for custody of the four minor children (12/07/1906, Friday) Alleging that her husband, Elmer C. James, threatened to kill her and that he used physical violence upon several occasions until she left him 18 months ago, Lucy James has filed suit for divorce and for the custody of her two children. The couple were married June 6, 1900. (12/12/1906) CLARK DIVORCE SUIT In the district court yesterday, Mrs. Gertrude Clark filed suit for a divorce from her husband, W.L. Clark, to whom she was wedded on September 8, 1904, in Stroud. Alleging that he was guilty of extreme cruelty and that on October 14 the defendant grabbed her, and threw her to the ground, the petition recites that since October 16 she has not resided with him and still suffers from the injuries that she received at the time she alleges that he threw her to the ground. (12/13/1906) COOKED HIS OWN MEALS Alleging that his wife, Gertrude M. Bluett, is guilty of gross neglect of duty, claiming that often during their wedded life he was compelled to prepare the family meals, Frank Bluett has filed suit for separation from his wife, to whom he was wedded in Chicago, January 11, 1898. The petition recites that the defendant has a divorced husband, Emmet Gilmore, and that during the month of November, 1905, she left the plaintiff and was last heard of in Chicago. (12/13/1906) In district court yesterday Mrs. Rose E. Lynch was granted a divorce from her husband, Thomas Lynch, an employe of the Katy railroad at Guthrie, and was also given the custody of the two children and allowed $15 a month alimony. The attorney fee, amounting to $25, was ordered to be paid by the defendant. (12/14/1906) ADDIE GETS MOST ACRES. A divorce has been granted to Mrs. Addie Zegafere in the suit for divorce and partition of the homestead of 160 acres. To her husband Judge Burwell awarded only 40 acres of the farm of 160 acres. From the money which was received from the sale of the farm in Nebraska, an investment in Oklahoma county real estate was made, the land now being valued at $5,000. (12/14/1906) GOLDMAN MUST BE GOOD. A temporary restraining order was granted by Judge Burwell in the district court yesterday restraining W.H. Goldman from interfering or trespassing upon the property of his wife, Mrs. L.K. Goldman, who has filed suit for divorce, alleging in the petition that her husband is guilty of extreme cruelty and has failed to provide for herself and children. (12/15/1906) In district court yesterday Martha E. Jones filed suit for a divorce from her husband, Wm. Jones, to whom she was married in Topeka, Kas., on May 19, 1897. The couple continued to reside together until May 11, 1904. Failure to support is given as the reason for the petition for divorce. (12/15/1906) Alleging that her husband, Clem J. Mees, cursed her and failed to provide for her, Isabella Mees has filed suit for a divorce and restoration to her maiden name. The couple were married in Pocatella, Idaho, May 23, 1906. (12/20/1906) NEWS OF COURTS In district court yesterday Lenna Parker was granted a divorce from her husband, John Parker.
