Baccus, Sr.. He passed away Monday, July 3, 2006 in Vernon, Oklahoma at the age of 45 years 10 months and 15 days. Kevin was a senior customer service representative for Blue Cross/Blue Shield Insurance Services. He was a member of Hanna Freewill Baptist Church and grew up in Wichita, Kansas and after elementary school the f amily moved to Vernon in 1971. Kevin attended & graduated from Hanna Hishschool where he played basketball. Later on Kevin attended Okmulgee Tech. Kevin liked to hunt & fish and was an avid outdoorsman. He was a certified basketball referee, he also ran Baccus Photography Studio in Dallas where he was a professional photographer for weddings and portraits. He also recently founded KB's Lawn Service. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence L. Baccus, Sr., and one brother, Gregory A. Baccus, Sr. Survived by his wife, Myra J. Baccus, Mesquite, Texas; 5 children, Lahawnna S. Baccus, Okmulgee; Telisha Baccus, Boynton; Kordel Baccus, Mesquite, TX; Keondrae Baccus, Mesquite, TX; and Kortez Baccus, Mesquite, TX; mother, Rosa Lee Baccus, Vernon, Texas; brother, Clarence L. Baccus, Jr., Los Angeles, California; sister, Marianne Baccus, Muskogee; nephews, Greg A. Baccus, James L. Baccus, Nathan Baccus, all of Muskogee; great nieces, Hagan Rylee Baccus, Muskogee; 2 uncles, Cleo M. Baccus Sr., Oklahoma City; and Dr. Chester D. Baccus, Altadena, California; as well as a host of cousins & other family members. Services will be held Monday, July 10, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Vernon School Community Center in Vernon, Oklahoma officiated by Elder A. C. Fields. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
