Sherry has been a member of the Nuyaka Baptist Church for many years and worked tirelessly in the church in several capacities. She nurtured her children in the admonition of the Lord, and all three of her children have been saved and baptized in Nuyaka Baptist Church. Her love of God was no secret. She has been a shining light to her family and to those whose lives she has touched. Her battle with cancer began in 1998 and she fought the battle with courage and her faith in God. This last battle became too much for her fragile body to fight and she went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 15, 2000. She is in the Master's arms, safe and secure in his love. We missed her before she was gone, and we will miss her every day of our lives. We must resolve to keep serving Jesus so that we will be reunited in Heaven where she waits for us. She will be missed as a daughter, a mother to her precious children, a wife, a sister and a very dear friend.
