Mrs. Ruth Ella Baxter who died Saturday morning at the Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She had suffered a stroke on Thursday. Rev. Doyle Davis will be officiating. Interment will be in the Senora Cemetery under the direction of Hayhurst-Wood Funeral Home. Mrs. Baxter was born at Purdy [Pauls Valley in Garvin County] Indian Territory, August 18, 1890. She moved from Purdy to Dustin and to Henryetta in 1898. She was an Apostolic minister for 53 years and founded the Apostolic House of Prayer which is now located at 502 East Trudgeon. She was 82 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Baxter. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Jim Loyd of Dewar, and Mrs. Alice Marrs, Henryetta, and several nieces and nephews.
