He passed away July 25, 2004 at Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years 10 months and 27 days. David attended Okmulgee, and Schulter Public Schools, graduating from Schulter in 1960. He was married to Charlene Smith Collett at Schulter on August 5, 1965. David worked for PPG, Midland and Anchor Glass for 34 years. He had planned on retiring from Anchor Glass in 2 and one half years. David was a dedicated employee and loved his job. He loved to garden, fish & attend grandchildren's sporting events. He was preceded in death by his parents: George & Margaret Beebe, 2 sisters: Ethel Marie & Margaret, a granddaughter: Mishael Lemon. He is survived by his his wife of 38 years, Charlene Beebe, of the home 2 daughters, Maria Wilhite & husband Dusty, Hitchita, Oklahoma Dava Garwood & husband Dan, Tampa, Florida 2 Step daughters, Arla Williams & husband John, Porum, Oklahoma Julie Lemon & husband Paul, Okmulgee 2 Step sons, Shan Collett and wife Mary, Fresno, California Butch Collett, Tolar, Texas 2 Sisters, Barbara Beebe, Jacksonville, Florida Mary Sue, Missouri 3 Brothers, Buddy Beebe, Palatka, Florida Paul Beebe, Jacksonville, Florida Bobby Beebe, Las Vegas, Nevada 12 Grandchildren, Melesa & Kelsey Wilhite, David Garwood, Jade & Alicia Lemon, John, Trish, Nellie, & Sweetie Williams, Paul & Chasity Collette, and Sophie Collette, as well as a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends, & and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Gaston Hall, Sam Bennett, Larry Mason, John Williams, Jr., John Williams, Sr., & James "Pudge" Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dusty Wilhite, Stacy Bourne, Mike Smith, Paul Lemon, Jade Lemon, and Shan Collett. Services will be held Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at 2:00 pm at Shurden Chapel officiated by Rev. Russell Lowe and Rev. George Christy, officiating.
