Browning, 87, a former resident of Okmulgee, died Friday, May 12, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born Thursday, November 21, 1918 to Augusta (Henning) and James W. Styers, Sr. in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Okmulgee. She played the piano for 42 years in the church and enjoyed singing with The Trio. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd H. Browning on January 28, 1994; her parents and two brothers. Survivors include: one son: James H. Browning of Tulsa; one daughter: Betty Stone and husband, Robert of Sapulpa; two brothers: Herbert Styers and wife, Rubysue of Grove; Charles Styers and wife, Nina of Sapulpa; six grandchildren: Mary Elizabeth and husband, Travis King of Tulsa; Robert Browning and wife, Sheryl of Jenks; Nathan and Kameron Browning both of Tulsa; Gregory Stone of Tulsa and Patrick Stone and wife, Melissa of Kellyville; three great grandchildren: Andrew Browning and Erin Johnson both of Jenks and Zachary King of Tulsa; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Nazarene Church in Okmulgee with Reverend Marvin Buell and Reverend Ken Book officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Morris Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Jim Styers, Norman Styers, David Styers, Gregory Stone, Robert Browning and Travis King. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donald Styers, Steve Styers, Patrick Stone, Nathan Browning and Wayne Eggerman. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kelley Chapel. Family will greet friends at the Chapel, Monday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
