She was born Thursday, September 6, 1928 to Joseph Earl and Anna Lucille (Seay) Largent in Paden, Oklahoma. On May 24, 1946, she married Charles C. Cantrell in Chandler, Oklahoma. Mrs. Cantrell was a member of the First Baptist Church in Okmulgee. She worked for many years at Ramsey’s Department Store and ran the Tastee Freeze on North Okmulgee for a number of years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Anna Largent; two brothers, James A. Largent and Boyd R. Largent. Survivors include: her husband, Charles C. Cantrell of Okmulgee; one son: Steven Cantrell and wife, Peggy of Nuyaka; one daughter: Donna Presser and husband, David of Okmulgee; two sisters: Linda Lavendusky and husband, John of Olathe, Kansas and Phyllis Ford and husband, Kenneth of Elkhart, Kansas; one brother: Floyd Largent and wife, Betty of Okmulgee; three grandsons: Christopher Kyle Cantrell of Bristow, Joseph Lee Cantrell and Patrick Alan Cantrell both of Nuyaka. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2006 at the Kelley Chapel in Okmulgee with Dr. Dennis Taylor and Reverend Raymond Doke officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Tim Largent, David Largent, Rick Largent, Bruce Sewell, Christopher Cantrell and Joey Cantrell.
