Terence (Terry) Lee Castin, 58, a resident of 

Okmulgee, died Monday, November 28, 2005 in Okmulgee. 

He was born on Saturday, October 11, 1947 to Marcel 

W. and Audrey Jo (Stidham) Castin in Okmulgee, 

Oklahoma. He attended Horace Mann Elementary 

School and graduated from Okmulgee High School in 

1965. Mr. Castin volunteered in the United States Marine 

Corps from 1968 to 1972, serving in Viet Nam. He worked 

for Telex Corporation in Tulsa from 1972 until 1990 and 

graduated from NSU-Tahlequah with a Bachelor Degree 

in 1986 and a Masters Degree in History in 1994. He 

worked at the University of Tulsa at the time of his 

passing and was a member of the Shepherds Chapel 

in Gravite, Arkansas. Terry enjoyed trying to reform 

city government, collecting music, motorcycles, playing 

tennis and golfing. 

	

      He was preceded in death by his father: Marcel 

W. Castin in1986; grandmothers: Mary Castin and 

Ela Stidham.	

	

      Survivors include: his best friend: Marla Dianne Jones 

of the home: mother: Audrey Castin of Okmulgee; daughter: 

Stacy Monte; son: Aaron Castin; sister: Jan Bell; aunts: 

Joyce Bachman and Clephane Stidham; near kin: Michael 

Jones and two grandsons: Anthony Joseph Colasaco and 

Joseph West Monte. 

	

      Memorial Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, 

November 30, 2005 at the Kelley Chapel in Okmulgee 

with Reverend Robert Parker and Reverend Lawrence 

Matlock officiating. 



Arrangements are under the direction of the 

Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee.  



In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial 

donations be made to the American Lung Association 

of Green Country Oklahoma 2805 East Skelly 

Drive  Tulsa, Oklahoma  74105.
