He was born October 21, 1934 in Morris to Walter Vineyard and Arizona (Williams) Sharp. On July 5, 1960 he married Bonniegene Hager. To this union were three children Denise, Dennis and Curtis. At the time of his death, he was employed at Deep Fork Community Action as the bus driver at the Morris Sr. Citizens. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service as Morris City Carrier after 35 1/2 years and the Morris Volunteer Fire Department. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1957 to 1959. He was on the Morris Cemetery Board and a member of the Morris FFA Booster Club. In his spare time he enjoyed going to the senior dances, taking his "HENS" on special outings, watching his grandchildren at livestock shows and ballgames. He was also well known to many as "PA". He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, a grandson Dakota, and his mother and father-in-law Robert and Mattie Hager. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Bonniegene; daughter Denise and Jerry Robison their children Floyd and Michael; sons Dennis and children Darrel and wife Melinda, Bryan, Jessica and Matthew; Curtis and Tina their children Hayden, Noah and Brady; two great grandchildren Blake and Kayla all of Morris, two sisters Modene Jackson of Morris and Magnola and Jack Bohard of Paso Robles, California. Adopted family Johnny and Barbara Whitaker and their children Amy husband Sam, Amber and husband Mark and Rebecca, and neighbor Curly Ada Many nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. Honorary pallbearers will be the Reynolds Coffee Club and the Morris Sr. Citizens lunch group. Pallbearers will be Floyd Robison, Darrel Sharp, Joe May, Chris Malone, Jimmy Fleetwood, Deke Wise, John Paul Porter, Kenny Hager, Billy Winsett, and Steve Watts. Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Morris with Rev. Jeff Ward officiating. Interment will be in the Morris Cemetery with the Fire Department Honor Guard. Visitations will be Saturday 12:00-6 p.m. at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Okmulgee, Sunday 10-6 p.m. and 10-8 p.m. Monday at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home in Morris.
