	Metta F. Churchwell, 99, a resident of Morris, died Saturday, 

September 24, 2005 in Okmulgee. She was born Monday, January 29, 

1906 to Frank and Holly (Coker) Ryles in Manning, Arkansas. 

	She was preceded in death by her husband, William Thomas 

Churchwell in 1976 and two sisters. 

	Survivors include: one daughter: Shirley Wanda Ledbetter of 

Tulsa; two sons: Billy Leon Churchwell of Morris and Harvey Thomas 

Churchwell and wife, Kay of Morris; one brother: Dee Ryles of Bakersfield, 

CA; one sister: Edith Adams of Cleveland, Ohio; five grandchildren: 

LaDonna Corn and husband, Robert of Morris; Scott Churchwell and wife, 

Beth of Florida; Gary Ledbetter and wife, Chela of Kansas; David Basham 

of Morris and Jay Lynn Hester and husband, Mike of Inola; four great

grandchildren: Travis Corn; Timothy Corn; Matthew Corn and Rebel Hester. 

	Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 27, 

2005 at the Morris Cemetery with Reverend Everett Lerch officiating. 

Burial will follow the service under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley 

Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
