(Larry) Crutchmer, 60, of Irving, Texas and former Okmulgee resident, died Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Baylor All Saints Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas following a lengthy illness. He was born Friday, June 8, 1945 to Vernon T. and Clara (Smith) Crutchmer in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Larry attended Okmulgee High School where he was an outstanding athlete. He was an All-State football player in 1963 and later attended the University of Oklahoma as part of the OU Football family from 1963 through 1967. He was a proud member of OU’s 1967 Orange Bowl Championship Team and cherished his membership in the O Club. For many years he was self-employed in the residential and commercial real estate restoration business in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. Larry had a unique way of making life long friendships and endearing himself to his family. He was a proud, generous and loving father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. Larry is survived by his son, Kevin Crutchmer and his wife, Tina and their children Kyle, Brian, Kayla and Justin of Lawton, Oklahoma; his daughter, Amy Washington and her husband, Michael and their children Michael, McKenzie and Myka of Lawton, Oklahoma; his mother, Clara Crutchmer of Jenks, Oklahoma; his brothers, Steve Crutchmer and his wife, Julia of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Clyde Crutchmer and his wife, Colleen of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is further survived by nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon T. Crutchmer. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2006 at the First Christian Church, 211 W. 8th St. in Okmulgee, Oklahoma with Jim Riley and Charlie Green officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Matt, Wes, Josh and Jim Crutchmer, Don Zacharias, Bob Robinson, Lonny Nichols and Danny Bill Stout. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the USA Oklahoma Wrestling Schoolboy National Dual Team, c/o Clyde Crutchmer, 1112 South Boston Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma
