He was 53 years old. Mr. Dixon was quite widely known. He is survived by his widow, daughter and a son. The daughter Miss Claudette Dixon, resides in the home and his son, Jack Dixon is in the U.S. air force, stationed at Forth Worth, Tex. Six brothers and three sisters also mourn his death. These are: Dick Dixon of Krebs, Gene Dixon of Seminole, John Dixon of Tulsa, Dayton Dixon of Tulsa. Raymond Dixon of Corona, Calif. Doyle Dixon in the U.S. army, Mrs. Ola Bynum of Indianola. Mrs. Opal Thomason of Oklahoma City and Miss Sula Dixon of Guthrie. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2;30 o'clock at the First Christian church, with Rev. Frank Grubbs the pastor, officiating. Pallbearers are to be: R.H. Patterson, Vern Harrison. H.F. Brown, Horace Collier, Buck McFarland. W.S. Murdaugh. Honorary pallbearer will be Orlando George, Odie McAnelly, Clarence Willis, R. M. Rains, H.C. McLeodd and O.H. Smith. Burial under the direction of Chaney's , burial to be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
