She passed away Saturday, October 7, 2006 in Henryetta, Oklahoma at the age of 89 years 11 months and 7 days. She was married to Earl Elzy on May 22, 1939 in Wetumka. Millie graduated Fairview High-school on April 10, 1935. She was a devoted wife and Mother as well as worked outside the home at the local Dairy Queen and retired from the In & Out Drive in. She was preceded in death by her parents Everett & Pearl Chastain, and her beloved husband Earl. Brothers, Cloifford & Rex Chastain, sisters, Lora Maye Umsted and Norma Deer Wiebe. She is survived by her son, Leon Elzy & wife Flo, Henryetta; grandchildren, Janie Elzy, Seminole, Oklahoma; Sandra Combs, Kellyville, Oklahoma; Leona Henderson, Bristow, Oklahoma; and Everett Elzy, Henryetta; six great grandchildren, four great great granddaughters, brothers, Fred Chastain, Morris; Doug Chastain, Dumas, TX; and Clark Chastain, Wetumka; sisters, Nola Umsted, Okmulgee; and Margaret Fry, Dumas, TX; and a host of other relatives & friends. Pallbearers will be Jerry Shepard, Charles Koren, Freddy Ray Chastain, Billy Croteau, Jason Steward, and Billy Umsted. Services will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2006 at 2:00 pm at Shurden Chapel officiated by Bro. Wesley VanMeter. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
