	Verda Jean Forsythe, 72, a resident of Okmulgee, 

died Wednesday, July 27, 2005 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. 

She was born Sunday, February 12, 1933 to Walter M. 

and Ruth Marie (Samples) Price in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. 

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Okmulgee. 

	

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and 

Ruth Price. 

	

Survivors include: two sons: Raymond Forsythe of 

New York and Scott David Forsythe of Okmulgee; 

one brother: Philip Price of Kamas, Utah; one sister: 

Sandra Haynes of Crown Point, Indiana; two 

grandchildren: Pierce Forsythe and Kyle Leitka; 

three nieces: Melodi Belei, Brenda DeSpain and 

Kathy Bonnett; two nephews: Monty Haynes and 

Mark Price. 



Memorial Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, 

August 1, 2005 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with 

Dr. Dennis Taylor officiating. Burial will follow 

the service under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley 

Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
