FOWLER Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Hayhurst-Wood Funeral Chapel for Charley Lewis Fowler. Rev. Jack Hayhurst will officiate, assisted by Rev. Ron Black, pastor of the Immanuel Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Senora Cemetery under the direction of the Hayhurst-Wood Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the chapel until funeral time only. Mr. Fowler was born April 14, 1881 in Camden County, Missouri, the son of Timothy and Julia Fowler. He died at the Henryetta Hospital Tuesday afternoon about 1:45 o'clock. He was 96 years of age. He came to Henryetta from Missouri in 1901.He was a farmer, worked for Kusa Zinc Smelter for several years, was a roustabout for the Shotwell Oil Company and had operated his own service station. He was an ardent gardener and enjoyed raising beautiful flowers and giving them to his many friends. He was baptized in the Pentecostal Holiness Church many years ago. He was preceded in death by his wife Julia, January 13, 1971. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Delmer (Gladys) Swan, Weleetka, and Mrs. Al (Ocie) Gambini, 110 S. 12th, Henryetta; one brother, Fred Fowler, Salem Community, Henryetta, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
