Garbart, a resident of Henryetta was born March 9, 1923 in Turkey Pen Hollow, Oklahoma to Lena and Arthur Miller. She passed away July 10, 2006 at Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years 4 months and 1 day. She married Andrey "Andy" G arbart on April 25, 1941. She was a homemaker and a member of First Christian Church for over 65 years where she also served as an elder. Edith worked for 10 or more years at Montgomery Wards in Henryetta and later at Shelter Insurance in Henryetta for at least 6 years. She was a member of several Bridge Clubs as well as Church Women United, and a former member of the Henryetta Medical Center Auxilary where she served as a Pink Lady. She worked in the blood drives for the American Red Cross Blood Bank and was also a member of the Henryetta Historical Society. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Andrew Garbart in 1991, also by a son Andrew Paul "Skip" Garbart, Jr. in 1996. Also by 1 brother Bud Miller, 2 sisters: Meroah Harrison & Katherine Rasberry. She is survived by: 1 Daughter, Marilyn Tomlinson, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma 2 Grandchildren, Kristen Garbart, Denver, Colorado Sean Tomlinson & wife Stephanie, Choctaw, Oklahoma 2 Great Grandchilden, Brendon Cole Tomlinson, Choctaw, Oklahoma And due in 2 weeks is Aidan Shawn Tomlinson, soon to be of Choctaw, Oklahoma 1 Sister, Marilyn Mason & husband Less, Willamantic, Connecticut Several Nieces, Nephews, other relatives, friends, and church family Services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 1:00 pm at First Christian Church officiated by Rev. Stephen Haney. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
