All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Santa Rosa Memorial Park--Windsor CA Santa Rosa Press Democrat Published on March 31, 1995 CHARLES GEASLAND Charles Geasland, a 44-year resident of Sonoma County and last in Santa Rosa, died Tuesday at a Santa Rosa hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Henryetta, Okla., Geasland, 68, moved to Sonoma County from Oakland. He worked about 10 years at the Naval Supply Department in Oakland. He then worked 26 years as a welder at Mare Island Naval Shipyard in Vallejo. Geasland served in the Army during World War II. He enjoyed camping, gardening and fishing. He and his wife, Evelyn Geasland of Santa Rosa, also traveled the Midwest. Geasland also is survived by his mother, Sibyl Geasland of Okmulgee, Okla.; sons, Charles Geasland Jr. of Fairfield, and Robert Geasland of Santa Rosa; sisters, Lenora Elliott of Inola, Okla., Allene Eckfeldt of Henryetta, Okla., and Darlene Sears of Stella, Mo.; brothers, Dr. Bill Geasland and Bob Geasland, both of Pahlequah, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Saturday at Daniels Chapel of the Roses. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
