Tuck GRAYSON, ED - Denison News - A difficulty occurred the 2nd inst., at Eufaula, C.N., in which Ed Grayson, a half-breed Indian, was instantly killed. It seems that Grayson was slightly intoxicated, and while in that condition was fearfully abusing several persons and also flourishing a revolver. James Willison, also a half-breed, tried to persuade him to go home, and finally succeeded in getting possession of his pistol, but Grayson had another pistol on his person, which he immediately drew and with the same fired at Willison, who dodged, and with the pistol taken from Grayson, returned the fire. The ball struck Grayson in the head and produced instant death. (The Frontier Echo, Fri., Jan. 18, 1878, Jacksboro)
