Hancock, 74, a resident of Muskogee, died Thursday morning, April 20, 2006 at Grace Living Center. He was born August 26, 1931 in Tahlequah to Clem and Rhoda (Battenfield) Hancock. Johnnie moved to California in 1970 where he was in truck tire sales before retiring and moving to Muskogee in 1998. He loved being outdoors, raising a garden and being with his cows and dogs. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hancock, of the home, two daughters, Lisa Husband of Midwest City and Debra Lamb of Prague, three sisters, Lucille Kiefer and Margie Crosley, both of Okmulgee and Garnett Richardson of Kellyville, three grandsons, and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend George Christy officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home Monday from 9:00 A.M.-8:00 P.M. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
