He was born Feb. 25, 1961, in Shawnee to Charley Hanjo, Sr. and Neomi Dixon. He graduated from Strother High School in 1979 and was employed with Thlopthlocco Bingo. He married Sharon Lewis in Okemah. He was preeded in death by his grandparents, Rev. and Frances Haney. Survivors include his parents, Charley and Neomi Harjo of Okmulgee; his wife, Sharon Harjo of Henryetta; three daughters, Monique Harjo, Kassey Harjo and Erika Harjo, all of Grove; two sisters, Gwendolyn Harjo of Glenpool and Cheryl Harjo of Okmulgee; one brother, Charles Harjo, Jr., of Kiefer, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Wake services were held Monday at the Stout Funeral Home Chapel in Wewoka. All night Wake services were held at the Hitchite United Methodist Church Tuesday, Oct. 17. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct 18 at 2 p.m., at the funeral home. Rev. Mike Svedack and Rev. Mike Harjo will officiate. Pallbearers will be Ricky Deer, Darrel Deer, Joey Deer, Jay Wildcat, Ray Barnett, and Alex Fish. Burial will be at the Hitchite United Methodist Chruch Cemetery under the direction of the Stout Funeral Home of Wewoka.
