Betty Jean Harvey, 76, a resident of Okmulgee, 

died Thursday, November 3, 2005 in Okmulgee. She 

was born Saturday, February 2, 1929 to Shorty and 

Faner Kay (Elkins) Hilton in Fayetteville, Arkansas. 

She was a retired security guard for the Fayetteville 

Arkansas Airport. 

	She was preceded in death by her husband, 

Lunda Harvey in August 1970 and one son: Richard 

Harvey.  

	Survivors include: three sons: Steve Harvey and 

wife, Eva of Eufaula; John Harvey of Springdale, 

Arkansas; Charles Harvey and wife, Lisa of Farmington, 

Arkansas; three daughters: Frances Simpson and 

husband, Oscar of Okmulgee; Charlotte Ritchey and 

husband, Bob of Bergaw, N.C.; Susie Brown of Okmulgee; 

one sister: Elizabeth Thomas of Farmington, Arkansas; 

fourteen grandchildren and twenty-seven great grandchildren. 

	Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 

7, 2005 at the Kelley Chapel in Okmulgee with Reverend 

Kevin Wadsworth officiating. Burial will follow the service

at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the 

Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
