She was born in Sistersville, West Virginia on July 22, 1911 to Charles and Kathryn (Harbell) Bassett. She was married to Paul M. Haubert at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sapulpa on Jan. 10, 1932, She graduated from Saint John's School of Nursing in Tulsa and attended the University of Tulsa. She served as the Okmulgee County Health nurse under the late M.D. Carnell. She also did volunteer nursing at the Manhattan project in Oak Ridge, Tennessee during World War 11. She was a poet. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Josephine Shawn, Isabell Self, Margaret Brixey, Mildred Bassett and four brothers, Charles, Sylvester, John and Herbert Bassett. Survivors include Pau, her husband of 68 years; five sister-in-law, Mildred Murphy, Florence Smith, and Catherine McLaughlin, all of Tulsa, Mary Maggart of Alabama and Loretta Walsh of California; and several nieces and nephews. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct 27 at the McClendon Funeral Home Chapel led by Sister Mary Fox. Graveside rites will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 28 at the South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa with Father Bryan Brooks officiating. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Saint Anthony Catholic Church of Marion Academy in Mrs. Haubert's name.
