Her husband of 56 years, JT, 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 1 great granddaughter, 1 sister, 1 brother and their extended family members survive her. She was a special lady who was loved by many people. Mom and Dad met on a blind date in Enid, Oklahoma, were married in 1946, and moved to Oklahoma City in 1962. Mom was a member of Surrey Hills Baptist Church where she served as the volunteer librarian. She also worked as a tireless volunteer in the church flowerbeds and volunteered many hours as a Master Gardener with the class of 1990 and the Surrey Hills Garden Club. Her love of flowers was shared with family and friends at home as well. She is with the Lord she loved so much. Our family wasn't ready to let her go, but we know she was prepared. We can think of no better way to celebrate her birthday than to be with Jesus and no better present for her than to see His face. Services will be at Surrey Hills Baptist Church on Monday, February 3 at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Enid. Published in the Oklahoman on 2/2/2003. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Return to Okmulgee County Archives: http://www.usgwarchives.net/ok/okmulgee/okmulgee.html
