Houston James R. Houston, 81, of Yuba City died Aug. 23, 2006, at Live Oak Manor in Live Oak. Born in Henryetta, Okla., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 47 years. He was a retired real estate broker, formerly owning Marysville Reality. He also worked for the State of California as a communications technician. He service in the U.S. Army, Navy and Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Darlene Houston of Yuba City; two daughters, Vivian Harmon and Virginia Hudson, both of Marysville; a stepson, Todd Keeney of Yuba City; a stepdaughter, Tamra McAuliff of Vancouver, Wash.; a sister, Ruth Houston Ziehlke of Murphys; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Houston Felts. Services: Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Holycross Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. A graveside service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave., Sutter.
