All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Howard, Imogene (Jean) Stockton, CA Feb. 14, 1927 - January 13, 2007 Imogene (Jean) Howard entered into rest Saturday, January 13, 2007 one month short of her 80th birthday surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 14, 1927 in Morris, Oklahoma to Effie Jordan Helms and James Helms and came to California with her family in 1936. Imogene's love of reading was known to all and she worked at the Troke Library for many years. She was a member of Stockton Covenant Church and the Tuleberg Good Sams. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Bessie Smith and Nellie Franklin. She is survived by her sister, Eunice Dozier of Lodi and her aunt, Gladys Barrington of Modesto. She is also survived by her husband of 59 years, David Howard and her children, Beverly (and Peter) Lang of Merced, Gwen Greenwood of Loomis, Laura (and Malcolm) Fortune, and Robert (and Christine) Howard of Stockton. Imogene is also survived by her grandchildren, Kristin Eoff of Texas, Karen Lang of Merced, Kathryn Cortes of Virginia, Ashley and Christopher Greenwood of Loomis and Alexandra and Katherine Fortune of Stockton. She also has three great grandchildren, Hayley, Alec and Adam Eoff of Texas and Matteo Cortes of Virginia. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 1:00 p.m at Stockton Covenant Church, 1720 W. Oxford Way, Stockton after a private committal. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
