Shirley was born near Morris, Oklahoma on April 10, 1914 to Thomas Otto and Caroline (Kruger) Hayden. She came to Okmulgee as a child and attended and graduated from Morris High School. Shirley had worked for the Okmulgee Daily Times and was employed by the State of Oklahoma as a Case Worker for many years. Shirley was an avid and talented china painter and had won many awards for her art. Her activities included membership in the First Christian Church, Elks Women's Auxiliary, Quilting Club and the China Painting Club and she enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Everett Ray Hutchinson, two sisters Welanee Robinson and Bertha Harrison, four brothers Bill Hayden, Tom Hayden, Freddie Hayden and Orville Hayden. Survivors include one daughter Carolyn Rose and husband Everett Younce of Dos Palos, California, one son Raymond Hutchinson of Okmulgee, one sister Norman Saye of Okemah, five grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday at 2 PM at the McClendon-Winters Chapel with Kurt G. Glassco, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Okmulgee Cemetery. Visitation was on Monday and Tuesday morning until services time.
