He was born Monday, September 7, 1925 to Thomas Jefferson and Ruby Gertrude (Clark) Kelly in Morris, Oklahoma. On February 14, 1948, he married Kathelene Johnson in Okmulgee. He worked years ago as a fireman for the City of Okmulgee and his lifes work as a self employed carpenter with his construction business. Mr. Kelly served as the President of The Oklahoma State Council of Carpenters for 10 years and served as the Business Representative for the Carpenters Local Union #1399. He also served in the United States Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Ralph and Thomas Kelly and his three sisters: Myrtle, Mable and Doris. Survivors include: his wife: Kathelene Kelly of the home; one son: Richard E. Kelly of Okmulgee; three daughters: Ruby Gail Allred and husband, Ron of Newalla, Ok; Sandra Lee Creek and husband, Jerry and Debra Ann Herman and husband, Steve, both of Collinsville, OK; one sister: Dorothy Ann Noto of West Palm Beach, FL; nine grandchildren: Thomas Kelly, Casey Kelly, Crystal Fitzgerald, Ron Allred, II; Clayton Allred, Shane Barnes, Kathie Penfield, Matthew Robison and Stephanie Herman; six great grandchildren: Kaylee, Kyler and John Allred, Zoey Kelly, Hunter Penfield and Haley Barnes. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2005 at the First Assemble of God Church in Okmulgee with Reverend Raymond Doke, Reverend Marvin McElhannon and Reverend Notchie Twist officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Thomas Kelly, Casey Kelly, Ron Allred, II, Shane Barnes, Matthew Robison, Chris Penfield. Honorary Pallbearer will be Clayton Allred. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Kelley Chapel.
