Mamie F. Kirk



Mamie F. Kirk, former Beggs resident and a resident of The Garden’s in Sapulpa, died Saturday, 



October 7, 2006 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. She was 80 years of age. Mamie was born 



September 12, 1926 in Tahlequah to James and Leona (English) Philpott. She married Albert Kirk 



on February 5, 1944 in Tahlequah. She was a member of the Home Extension Club, Red Hat Ladies 



and formerly the Order of the Eastern Star. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, 



daughter, Terry Cockrill, and siblings, Buck, John, Bob and James Philpott, Jr., and Edith Eden. 



Survivors include her sons, Andy Kirk of Jenks and Ray Kirk of Tahlequah, siblings, Wes Philpott, 



Rosie Gatewood, Lorene Poteet, Micy Young, Bill Philpott, Ruthie Philpott, Betty Rotramel and 



Florence Young, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.



A funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at the Church of God of 



Prophecy in Beggs with Reverend Matthew Stockton officiating. Interment will follow in the 



Beggs Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Billy Roach, Michael Kirk, Thomas Kirk and Brian Kirk. 



Arrangements are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
