She was born Wednesday, December 18, 1929 in Okmulgee. She was the youngest of five children of Don and Lena (Collins) Brewer and was the last surviving child. She was a 1947 graduate of Okmulgee High School. On February 21, 1948, she married Harlan H. Mantooth in Okmulgee. She formerly worked for the Okmulgee Wal-Mart in the mid 1970’s as a manager in the infant department. Survivors include: her husband, Harlan of the home; two daughters: Karen Hayes of El Paso and Carla Pilkington and husband, Jim of Sapulpa; four grandchildren: Allison Hayes of El Paso; Lane Pilkington of Sapulpa; Marci Swayze and husband, Matt of Okmulgee; and Derek Pilkington and wife, Cheri of Sugar Hill, Georgia. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2005 at the Kelley Chapel in Okmulgee with Pastor Paul Littleton officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Donald Hale, Derek Pilkington, Red Thompson, Dennis Smith, Ronnie Robinson and Eural Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Walter Burkhart, Milton Hale and Ernie Honig.
