	Ramah Marris, 80, a resident of Okmulgee, died 

Saturday, August 5, 2006 in Okmulgee. He was born Friday, 

May 7, 1926 to Samuel and Melissa (Bircham) Marris in 

Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Mr. Marris served in the United 

States Army during WWII. 

	

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 35 years, 

Theda Marris; three brothers: Elga, Doc and Lester Marris; 

five sisters: Hattie, Cladie, Arlon, Addie and Viola. 

	

Survivors include: two sons: Ricky Marris and Ramah Lynn 

Marris both of Okmulgee; one daughter: Debbie Sanford and 

husband, Willis of La Habra, CA; two sisters: Modene Sanders 

of Arizona; Bethel Brownfield of Buena Park, CA; five grandchildren: 

Brad, Chris, Brandon, Wayne and Richard; three great 

grandchildren: Cianna, Noah and Elijah. 

	

Graveiside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 

9, 2006 at the Okmulgee Cemetery. Burial will follow the service 

under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of 

Okmulgee.
