No service is planned. Memorial contributions may be made to Plannned Parenthood of Jackson County, 724 S. Central, Suite 101A, Medford, OR 97501, or The Arts Council of Southern Oregon, 33 N. Central, Suite 300, Medford, OR 97501. She was born Sept. 21, 1923, in Henryetta, OK. She moved to Ashland in 1982 from Loma Prieta, CA. She had also lived in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, in recent years. Ben-Lesser was a writer. She was the author of "The Foxy Old Woman's Guide to Travelling Alone" She enjoyed travel, as well as life-long learning. Survivors include her former husband, Mathew Ben-Lesser, Ashland; a daughter, Claire Anchick, Gold Hill; a son, Carter Croley, Sebastopol, CA; a sister, Eva Rae LaGrande, Ponca City, OK; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
