VANCE OCNS - April 30, 2002 - Minnie C. Vance, 89, a longtime resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma died Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at Henryetta. Minnie was born August 28, 1912 in Van Buren, Arkansas to William Thomas Winn and Lillie Augusta Clevenger Winn. January 7, 1930, she married William Jack Vance, who preceded her in death on January 29, 1957. Mrs. Vance is survived by four children: Reverend Jacky D. Vance and wife Donna; Donald Vance, Wanda Wilber, Joe Vance and wife Glenda all of Henryetta; eighteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, Minnie was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Mae Pulley and Maxine Vance; one great grandson, Willie Vance and two great granddaughters, Casey and Rebecca Stephens. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 27, 2002 at Dewar (Oklahoma) First Baptist Church with Reverend Jack Burgess officiating. Pallbearers were Mrs. Vance's grandsons: Doug Brown, Patrick Vance, Travis Vance, Keith Pulley, Paul Vance, Mark Vance, Bill Vance and Brian Vance Interment was at Salt Creek Cemetery at the Wilson Community under direction of Shurden Funeral Home, Henryetta.
