Leona Muehlhausen, a longtime resident of Henryetta was born March 3, 1928 in Okmulgee,Oklahoma and passed away July 21, 2006 at Henryetta, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years 4 months and 18 days.  She married Hadley Ward Muehlhausen in Checotah, Oklahoma on August 22, 1947.  She was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church. Leona was also a former member of the ESA, Ithana Study Club, and volunteered in many capacities for the First Christian Church as well as a volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Bank.  She was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Carrie Winfrey, her husband: Hadley W. Muehlhausen, August 15, 1996 and a brother-in-law: Gene Richardson







Leona is survived by 2 Children:



Mike Muehlhausen & wife Rene', Henryetta, Oklahoma



Debbie Russell & husband Joe, Tulsa, Oklahoma



2 Step Children,  Diane Rowe, Henryetta, Oklahoma



Kent Muehlhausen & wife Shirley, Anchorage, Alaska



8 Grandchildren



Numerous Great Grandchildren



1 Sister,  Jo Richardson, Logan, New Mexico



4 Nieces as well as a host of friends







Funeral Services will be Monday July 24, 2006 at 10:00 am at Shurden Chapel with Rev. Lowell Churchill, officiating.



  Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of



Shurden Funeral Home.
