Lester Leon O'Daniel

BORGER - Lester Leon "Bill" O'Daniel, 78, died Sunday, Oct. 11, 1998, 
in Lubbock.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Gateway Baptist 
Church of Borger with the Rev. Tunis Schuurman of the church 
officiating. Cremation is by Memorial Park Crematory with 
arrangements by Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 Bell St.

Mr. O'Daniel was born in Ardmore, Okla., and moved to Amarillo in 
1948 from Okmulgee, Okla. He was a World War II veteran of the Navy. 
In 1982, he retired as operator for Phillips Petroleum. He was a 
member of Gateway Baptist Church.

He married Modean Yocham in 1946 at Okmulgee.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Wayne O'Daniel of Fritch; two 
daughters, Kathy Miller and Kay Mills, both of Lubbock; a sister, 
Clara Gibson of Morris, Okla.; five grandchildren; and three 
greatgrandchildren.
