Juanita Rose "Nita" Parker PAMPA - 83, died Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today in Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors Colonial Chapel with Leland Lewis, pastor of First Assembly of God, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Parker was born June 3, 1920, in Coalton, Okla., to Guy and Pearl Morrow. She lived most of her life in Pampa and other Panhandle towns. She married Johnny Speegle on March 6, 1938, and they had two daughters and a son. She later married Winston Kendricks on Nov. 26, 1944, and they had one daughter. After Mr. Kendrick's death, she married Clarence Parker on June 25, 1967, who had three daughters and four sons from a previous marriage. Mrs. Parker worked in food service at Worley Hospital and Coronado Nursing Home. She was also a nanny for the Sidwell family children, a sitter for children in her home and a sitter for Calvary Baptist Church nursery. Children and everyone who knew her were blessed by her love for them. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, quilting and working in the yard. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; a son; a grandson; a stepson; and a son-in-law, Jim F. Keough. Survivors include three daughters, Vivian Romines and husband, James, and Ruby Meek and husband, Phil, all of Pampa, and Peggy Chambers and husband, Richard, of Longview; five grandchildren, Tim Meek and wife, Elaine, of Wisconsin, Johnny Meek of Amarillo, Phyllis Latterell and husband, Wayne, of Minnesota, Chris Keough and wife, Lisa, and Jim Keough and wife, Robin, all of Pampa; eight great-grandchildren, Katelyn Meek of Wisconsin, Kayla Latterell, Laura Latterell and Nicole Latterell, all of Minnesota, Kristen Keough and Kira Keough, both of New York, Christopher Keough of Pampa and Michael Keough of Shawnee, Okla.; five sisters, Lillie Parker and husband, Johnny, and Inez Williams and husband, Dean, all of Borger, Virginia Chandler and husband, Jess, of Clarendon, Mildred Walker and husband, Cotton, of Colorado and Margaret Hawley and husband, Robert, of Mineola; a brother, Paul Morrow and wife, Barbara, of Pampa; six stepchildren, Clarence Junior Parker and wife, Lottie, Johnny Parker and wife, Lillie, and Carol Lewis, all of Borger, Eddie Parker and wife, Ann, of Amarillo, Bonnie Moore and husband, James, of Fritch and Shirley Anderson of Darrouzett; 21 stepgrandchildren; 33 stepgreat- grandchildren; 17 stepgreat-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.
