She was born Wednesday, July 11, 1934 to William and Alda Pearl (Roberts) Henson in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She was a member of the Crosstown Pentecostal Church for 25 years and she worked at Ball Brothers for many years. Phyllis loved life and some of the things that she loved to do were family gatherings, play bingo, eat chips and white salsa at Sue’s Little Peso and breaded veal cutlets at Kirby’s Café. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Parker; parents, Bill and Pearl Henson and one brother: W.L. Billy Henson. Survivors include her son, Keven Wayne Parker of Okmulgee; daughter, Valorie D. Ramsey and husband, Mike of Okmulgee; stepson: Terry Parker of Henryetta and two stepdaughters, Sheri Carley of Bixby and Debbie Whatley of Crane, MO; three sisters, Hattie Robertson and husband, Tom of Okmulgee; Lois Parker and husband, Jim of Henryetta and Zennia Crosby and husband, Max of Okmulgee; five grandchildren, C.J. Cowell of Omaha, Nebraska; Christopher Cowell of Tulsa; Amanda Carswell and husband, Deshawn of Okmulgee; Jake and Kally Parker of Beggs; two great grandchildren, Jayde and Kaliecia Carswell; nine step grandchildren and three step great grandchildren. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the Crosstown Pentecostal Church with Reverend Zennia Crosby officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Pallbearers will be Raymond Daniels, Sam Remis, Willie Dunlap, Kermit Knox, Roy Rainbolt and David Ramsey. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Kelley Chapel.
