He passed away from this life on Friday, July 25, 2005 after a long illness at the age of 91. Later, the family moved to Schulter, Oklahoma, where he spent the rest of his childhood. After graduating high school in 1932, he went to California where he lived the next 70 years. Mr. Parrish excelled as a real estate appraiser working both privately and for the federal government in the HUD department. He was of the Assembly of God Faith and was a faithful servant of his Lord. He often led noontime Bible studies, prayer groups and a street ministry to homeless in downtown Los Angeles near his work place. After the death of his wife of 53 years, Jacquelyn, in 2000 he returned to Okmulgee residing at the Baptist Village then Rebold Manor. In addition to his wife and parents, two brothers preceded him in death, Averon and T.H. Survivors are brother, Dr. Lonny R. Parrish of Okmulgee; sister, Jackie Jean Bell of Wilburton, an extended California family including two sons, grandchildren, other family members, nieces and nephews both there and here. Graveside Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2005 at the Okmulgee Cemetery with Reverend George Christy, Pastor of the Schulter Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow the service under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Kelley Chapel
