She was born Friday, December 20, 1929 to Cecil and Jessie (Hendricks) Moss in Seminole, Oklahoma. Maxine lived in Texarkana area for many years and worked for Red River Army Depot as an inspector of Army Tanks and Equipment in the 70’s and 80’s. She also was the manager at the Circle “K” in Glenpool for a time in the 90’s. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Okmulgee and loved to camp and fish with family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Pherigo in 2003 and her mother, Jessie Moss Phelps. Survivors include: son: Phil Moss and wife, Kay; grandsons: Anthony Moss and wife, Danielle; Phillip Moss, Jr. and wife, Cindy; sister: Helen Moss; brothers: Roy Moss and wife, Edna and Jim Phelps; four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at the Faith Baptist Church in Okmulgee with Reverend Everett Lerch officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Kelley Chapel.
