He was born Friday, November 13, 1942 to Clyde and Emma (Cordry) Powers in St. Roberts, Missouri. He was a Deacon at the Butler Memorial Methodist Church in Okmulgee and retired as a mechanic with Summers Auto. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Emma Powers. Survivors include: one son: Stephen J. Powers of Okmulgee; three daughters: Dawn Quesenbury and husband, John; Jennie Corn and husband, Frank and Sharon Sullins, all of Okmulgee; girlfriend: Marta Stanley of Okmulgee; three brothers: Leo Powers of North Platte, Nebraska; Tommy Powers of Clearwater, Florida; Larry Powers of North Platte, Nebraska; five sisters: Ruth Soto and Margie Mora, both of North Platte, Nebraska; Hollis Miller of Indiana; Randi Powers of North Platte, Nebraska and JoAnn Michaels of North Dakota; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held 10:00 am Monday, July 25, 2005 at the Kelley Chapel in Okmulgee with Reverend Dal Newberry officiating. Services are under the direction of the Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee.
