The Rev. G.E. "Gene" Richardson

LOGAN, N.M. - The Rev. G.E. "Gene" Richardson, 73, died Sunday, Aug. 
31, 2003.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Logan United Methodist Church 
with the Rev. Jeanie Williams, the Rev. Joe Wood and the Rev. Gerry 
Lightwine officiating. Burial will be in the family plot of Logan 
Cemetery by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.

The Rev. Richardson was born June 25, 1930, in Okmulgee, Okla. He was 
a retired minister of the United Methodist Church and served 44 years 
in the ordained ministry.

Survivors include his wife, Jo; four daughters, Dr. Clara Richardson 
of Abilene, Texas, Lee Ann Davis of Santa Fe, Lynn Hanawalt of 
Tucumcari and Elizabeth Groves of Aptos, Calif.; a brother, Harry 
Richardson of Mount Pleasant, Texas; and a sister, Mary Humpharies of 
Wichita Falls, Texas; and three grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Tucumcari Helping Hands Hospice, 
615 South Second, Tucumcari, NM 88401; or to United Methodist Church 
of Logan, Logan, NM 88426.
