She was born Thursday, September 12, 1912 in Portales, New Mexico, the first of the six children of Louis and Margaret Brown. Her husbands, Neil Harman and Clyde Roberts, her parents, her sisters, Mary Neilsen, Helen Featherston, Virginia Sullivan and her brother, Woodrow Brown preceded her in death. She is survived by her sister, Louise Nelson of New York; her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Ginger Harman and her grandchildren, Brett and Diane Garland of Henryetta, Michelle and Curt Johnston of Sapulpa, David Harman, Dawn and Devin DeBock of Okmulgee, Tina and Ed Roach of Tahlequah and Lisa and Erik Tiger of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and twelve great grandchildren. As young marrieds in the 1930’s, Neil and Ada Harman and Clyde and Mae Roberts formed a lifetime friendship. Neil succumbed to illness in the late 60’s as did Mae in the early 70’s. Ada and Clyde were united in marriage in the mid 70’s. Ada is fondly remembered still by some as the private duty nurse in her lengthy dark blue cape and black banded white nurses cap and by others as the congenial always prim nurse in her starched white uniform at the Clinic on the corner of East Eighth and Morton streets where she attended the health care needs of her doctors’ patients from the opening years of World War II until the mid 50’s during the tenures of Doctors Ming, Vernon, Kendall, Buell, Myers and Powell.
