::Independence Cemetery--Turpin OK

Joe Max Schmidt

PERRYTON - Joe Max Schmidt, 69, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with 
Richard Laverty officiating. Burial will be in Independence Cemetery 
in Turpin, Okla., by Clark Funeral Service of Beaver, Okla.

Mr. Schmidt was born May 25, 1934, in Okmulgee, Okla. He married 
Bobbie J. Porter on Jan. 21, 1956, in Clayton, N.M.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Steven Schmidt of Justin; six 
daughters, Cindy Thomas of Laverne, Okla., Linda Kinsey of Beaver, 
Patricia Call of Norman, Okla., Susan Hall of Liberal, Kan., Lori 
Freese of Scott City, Kan., and Juli Anderson of Yuma, Ariz.; his 
mother, Mary Frances Schmidt of Dumas; a sister, Marilyn Turner of 
Houston; and 14 grandchildren.
