	Sharon Kay Smith was called to be with the Lord 

suddenly on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at the age of 55 

years, 4 months and 9 days. She was born Monday, 

February 5, 1951 to Paul William and Evalyn (Potter) 

Smith in Okmulgee. She attended Okmulgee High School 

and remained a resident of Okmulgee until her passing. 

Sharon was well liked by others and loved spending time 

with her family. She enjoyed playing cards and liked to 

crochet.

	She was preceded by her mother, Evalyn Smith and 

cousin, David Carpenter. 

	Survivors include: her father, Paul William Smith 

of Okmulgee; one sister: Carolyn Ann Eslick and husband, 

Eric of Okmulgee; one brother: Paul Wayne Smith and 

wife, Zeborah of Okmulgee and numerous nieces, 

nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. 

	Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2006 

at the Kelley Chapel in Okmulgee with Pastor George 

Luther Carter officating. Burial will follow the service at 

the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the 

Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. 

	Pallbearers will be Jack R. Smith, Charlie Smith, 

Andy Mays, Jerry Emerson, Jack Bennett, Terry Bennett 

and Michael Whitworth. 

	Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 

6:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the 

Kelley Chapel.
