Jesse Everett Stidman, 81, a resident of Okmulgee, 

died Wednesday, July 20, 2005 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. 

He was born Thursday, February 28, 1924 to Charley 

and Jewell (Pritchard) Stidman in Schulter, Oklahoma. 

On September 9, 1970, he married Betty Marie Hale in 

Florence, Arizona. 

	

Survivors include: wife: Betty Stidman of the home; 

four sons: Jimmy Stidman of Washington; Mike and 

Rick Stidman, both of Arizona; David Stidman of Virginia; 

two daughters: Virginia Hayer  and Regina Basham, both of 

Oklahoma City; three brothers: Floyd Stidman of Eufaula; 

Cecil Stidman of Phoenix, AZ; Hershal Stidman of 

Highland, CA; three sisters: Opal Mount of Kilgore, TX; 

Ethel Eastridge of Roosevelt, AZ; Bertie Mae Beasley of 

Showlow, AZ; seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great 

grandchildren. 

	

Services will be held 11: 00 a.m. Monday, July 25, 2005 at 

the Living Way Tabernacle in Okmulgee with 

Reverend Floyd Stidman officiating. Burial will be 

held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2005 at the 

Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of the 

Shurden-Kelley Funeral Home of Okmulgee. 

	

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 

at the Kelley Chapel.
