Wayne Bernice Watson, a resident of Henryetta was born June 9, 1927 in Henryetta, Oklahoma

to Dora and Oscar V. Watson.  He passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma 

at the age of 79 years 3 months & 3 days. He married Mary (Beltran) Watson at Henryetta, Okla 

on June 12, 1949.  He worked for 25 years at PPG Industries in Henryetta, and later worked 

as a draftsman for the Williams Company until retiring in 1979. He was a veteran of the 

Korean Conflict serving with the United States Army.  He was a member of St. Michael's 

Catholic Church in Henryetta.



He was preceded in death by his parents: Oscar & Dora Watson, a son: Robert Watson, 

3 brothers: Floyd, Ralph, & Charles Watson, and 1 sister: Eunice Rowe.



He is survived by his wife,  Mary Watson, a grandson,  Cody Watson, and a great grandson,  

Ethan Watson, all of the home in Henryetta

Amber Halton & husband Ron, Aubrey, Texas



Stephanie Steel & husband John, North Carolina



3 Great Grandchildren,  Shelby, Makenzie, & Skylar Halton, Aubrey, Texas



1 Brother, Glen Watson & wife Lorene, of Shawnee, Oklahoma



As well as several nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.



Pallbearers will be Ernie Garcia, Lee Ritch, Gary Donathan, John Beltran, 

Julian Beltran, and Greg Fielder. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brandon Ritch, 

Darren Donathan, Kyle Posey, Travis Posey, and Chris Fisher.



Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Shurden Chapel 

officiated by Father Benjamin Vima. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery under the 

direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
